Cinque Terre

Me and Corinn in Cinque Terre!
For a day trip with a travel group me and 4 of my friends went to Cinque Terre. It was a three hour train ride that was completely worth it. The towns are so pretty and the beaches are even prettier.  First we began the day with a short hike through the "love walk". It is named this due to the couples that have put locks of love all over the trail and inscribed their initials and love notes to one another along the rocks, plants, and walls.  After the first hike we had some lunch and I got pesto pizza! There was pesto sauce instead of tomato sauce and it was delicious. Once again, service was extremely slow. I'm still trying to get used to the slow pace of things here. I probably look like a crazy person speed walking to class everyday because no one else has any other speed besides slow in this city. Anyway after lunch there was an optional hike or ferry to the next town where the beach was. Well..me and my friends wanted to get the full Cinque Terre experience and not miss out on any views so we did the second hike and lets just say it would have been a funny sight to see. It was sooo much harder and steeper and took about and hour and a half. There sights were amazing but I was barely able to look because I was so afraid I would loose my footing.  The hike started with 360 stairs and just got worse from there. But once you start there is no turned back so we pressed on and eventually made it to the beach (thank god!!!). We spent the rest of our time on the beach tanning and swimming in the Mediterranean! It was awesome!
